Business Development Manager

Hours – 38 hours per week.
Salary – Negotiable depending on experience.

Overview

This new position within Silteq Ltd will be responsible for building and managing the future business development strategy focused on increased sales and new business opportunities on behalf of Silteq Ltd. Please refer to the Silteq website for further detailed information.

The Business Development Manager will also be responsible for developing and implementing a strategic sales plan that expands Silteq’s customer base and product ranges ensuring a strong presence in the markets that Silteq operates in.

Role brief

Silteq are looking for an ambitious and driven Business Development Manager to help expand its clientele and product ranges within the HCR Silicone sector. The successful applicant will have the necessary skills and dedication to create and apply an effective increased sales focus to match the future growth strategy planned for the business.

The key objective of this role is to drive sustainable financial growth through boosting sales and forging strong working relationships with current and new customers. Previous experience from holding a similar position, and achieving comparable results, would be a prerequisite to successful recruitment.

Responsibilities

  • Achieve forecasted growth and sales targets by a planned and agreed growth strategy. 
  • Design and implement a strategic business plan that will expand Silteq’s customer base and product ranges, ensuring a strong Silteq presence in its current and potential new markets.
  • Posses the ability to plan future recruitment, objectives setting, coaching, and performance monitoring within Silteq.
  • Promote and build strong, long-lasting customer relationships by partnering with them and providing a 100% client-driven understanding of their needs.
  • Present monthly sales results, margin, opportunities, and realistic forecasts to the Management Team. Quarterly reports to the Silteq Board of Directors will also form part of this role and will need to be prepared and circulated prior to each meeting.
  • The ability to keep abreast of and identify new emerging markets and opportunity trends 
  • Awareness of new products and any competition threats/opportunities. 

Requirement and skill sets

  • Applicants should have gained previous experience of selling into the HCR Silicone, Rubber, Polymer, or other affiliated market sectors.
  • The successful candidate will need to provide evidence of their experience gained and successes in similar markets to that of Silteq Ltd.
  • A driven skill set and determination to succeed in developing future growth of Silteq Ltd.
  • Proven working experience as a Technical Sales or Business Development Manager, Sales Executive, or a similar demanding role.
  • Customer centric management skill set. 
  • Proficient in MS Office and experience of CRM software would be preferred.
  • Market knowledge of Silteq Ltd and similar product ranges.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Time management and planning skill sets are a key requirement of this role.
  • Qualifications in Business Management, Sales, Marketing, or any other relevant field would be viewed positively for this position.
